Strong is Beautiful

This is a topic that weighs on my heart.  Ladies, you don’t have to be skinny to be beautiful. Your strength is what makes you beautiful.

Strength is not only defined by the physical.   But emotional, mental and spiritual strength are true measures of what it means to be strong.  It takes strength to forgive, strength to go the extra mile to be kind when you don’t feel like it, strength to put up necessary boundaries, strength to take care of yourself body, mind and soul.

I know this: You are stronger than you think.

You are more beautiful than you know! Embrace STRENGTH and shine

Don't forget that health is not just about your body but about balance in all areas of your life.  Enjoy your family and friends.  Take time to meditate and pray for inner health.  This body is just a temporary vessel to carry around our heart and soul.  Make sure you spend just as much time (if not more) on our emotional, spiritual, mental health and relationships.

I’ll admit fitness and health can become a very self-focused and self-centered “hobby.”  For some it becomes an obsession with looking good or being better than someone else. But honestly if your focus is right, fitness not only helps you physically, mentally and emotionally- it benefits others as well. You can serve others better, be a better mother, friend, employee. It’s a great example and motivation for others to take care of the one body we have been given.

Building strength might look on the outside like quads and biceps.  But on the inside it's about character, mental toughness and spirit.
